Bears Win In London Gives Then A 4-2 Record As They Hit The Bye Week

The Chicago Bears' management decided to fly to London early last week, giving the team time to get acclimated to the 6-hour time difference playing in London. But it was the Jacksonville Jaguars, who didn't arrive until the wee hours Friday morning, that started quickly. The Bears offense only managed seven yards on six plays in the first quarter. The Jaguars took an early 3-0 lead on their first possession by driving 67 yards the first time they had the ball. The drive, which drained 8:12 off the game clock, stalled inside the red zone and Cam Little's attempt from 30 yards out split the uprights for a quick 3-0 lead.

The Bears offense faltered on their second possession and the Bears were forced to punt after the second straight 3-and-out.

After Jacksonville punted on their second possession, the Bears offense came to life. Caleb Williams led the team to three touchdowns the next four times the offense had the ball. Before the Jaguars could find the end zone again, Williams had three TD passes, and a 21-3 lead.

WIlliams would add a fourth TD pass late in the 3rd quarter. That would tie Caleb with the most TD passes ever in an NFL game played "Across the Pond."

Caleb just missed a fifth TD pass, when DJ Moore was ruled down inside the 1-yard line. D'Andre Swift scored from less than a yard out on the next play.

The final score: Bears 35 - Jaguars 16.

Caleb's Weekly Improvement Continues

Caleb Williams continues to grow. Watching him command the line of scrimmage calling out defensive reads, blocking assignments, and changing plays has been fun to watch. Despite a slow start due in part to his inexperience as well as bad line play caused a bad start to the season. But looking at Caleb's improvement each week shows his obvious growth.
