The NFL, and the national media is starting to take notice. When Yahoo Sports released their power rankings after this weekend, the Bears finally broke into the top half of the list. Coming in at 14, the highest mark since the beginning of the 2019 season.

Coming off another stellar performance in the game against Jacksonville, Caleb Williams earned the FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week Award. Caleb threw four touchdown passes while completing 23 of 29 attempts (79.3 percent) for 226 yards, and a 124.4 passer rating.
Cole Kmet earned recognition for his role on special teams, stepping in to be the long snapper after Scott Daly was injured in the first quarter in the game. Kmet earned the honor of Special Teams Player of the Week.
Bears vs Washington Game Has Been Moved to a 3:25 start
Jayden Daniels was selected by the Washington Commanders with the second selection in this year's draft and found some immediate success running the Connanders offense. The top two QBs meet on October 27th when Washington hosts Chicago. CBS will televise the game to most of the nation.
Injury Update
The bye week comes at a good time with key members of the Bears defense nursing injuries. Coach Eberflus talked to the Chicago press this week saying he is hopeful DBs Kyler Gordon (hamstring), Tyrique Stevenson (calf) and Jaquan Brisker (concussion), will be able to take advantage of the bye week, improving their chances to play against the Commanders.
Long snapper Scott Daly will miss some time with his knee injury. With Patrick Scales still on injured reserve, the Bears signed long snapper Jake McQuaide to the practice squad.
